PROJECT ACTION
HÁ EVENT AT LOKO EA
On February 4th, 2017 we held a work day at Malama Loko Ea fishpond. Myself along with three other Mililani High School students in this yes futures symposium led the event. Dorian and I led the welcoming chant E Ho Mai to enter the fishpond. Then we divided our volunteers into four groups. I had a group of about 40 people that I was able to give a brief speech on my project yes futures project. Then I went on to direct my group on their restoration projects for the day. (split group in half) I had one group work on rebuilding the keiki Fish pond bank to prevent excessive amount of salt water from entering. Then the second group removed weeds and invasive plants around the Keiki pond to prevent future possible erosion.
